MinaLima is an innovative, multidisciplinary design studio with a personal approach to design and production for film, interactive books, theme parks, immersive experiences, and retail. Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima founded MinaLima in 2001 after their amazing work on the Harry Potter franchise, aiming to combine their shared artistic vision and design for the entertainment and publishing industry. In addition to their wide range of work, they showcase their entire collection of graphic creations in their shop and gallery, the House of MinaLima.
MinaLima's clients include Netflix, Harper Collins, Scholastic, Superfly, Universal Studios, Warner Bros., and the Wizarding World.
All work at MinaLima is done by a team of illustrators and graphic designers led by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima.
Illustrated books
Illustrated Books at MinaLima include the Harry Potter Books and the Classics Collection. Published by Scholastic or Harper Collings. All the books are lavishly illustrated and contain interactive elements. The creation process includes paper engineering and the creation of illustrations from scratch. Following the art direction of Mauricio Carneiro, these books are created with lots of care, craft and love.
Prints, products and exhibitions
At Mina Lima I had the opportunity to apply my illustrations to different products, and also to create promotional prints. One of the main strengths of the Studio is how keen they are in storytelling. Have a look at the different designs and their application on MinaLima products sold worldwide. MinaLima has had the chance to be part of different exhibitions throughout the world and I have been lucky enough to be part of the organization and the promotional design of some of them. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your work on display in places as varied as a Romanesque Italian church or the Paris underground.
